The product CAM-9 have the latest software (ARM) implemented, which offers better performance and continuous data transmission. In 2017 we also introduced further project changes according to the expectations our clients so that now CAM-9 ensures stable transmission in the harshest industrial conditions.

CAM-9 is an integrated system comprising in one compact housing video and telemetry modules. The main advantage of this product is the simultaneous transmission of  data (RS485 ) and A/V signal (PAL). For this reason, perfectly suited to wireless CCTV monitoring systems. CAM-9 is equipped with a video signal converter to UTP cable and terminator of last 485 signal - 120 Ohms, so there is no need to install additional converter BNC -> UTP, however standard BNC video connector is also available.

 

Overvoltage and interference protection

Another improvement is a surge and interference protection for all lines: Video UTP, BNC, and RS-485. An incredible advantage that please every installer is the ability to program the receiver, test the radio connection between the transmitter and the receiver and the ability to encode data.

All settings are displayed on the LED display, which makes this kit problems free during and after installation.

 

Radio telemetry module

Same as radio modem CD-04, telemetry also operates in point-to-multipoint configuration (ie, one control modem and multiple receivers).

For installation purposes two types of kits were created: CAM-9-Master for the first camera and the CAM-9 - slave for each additional camera. All amenities are designed to save your time and effort spent on the installation.

Application example of using CAM-9 system

A manufacturing plant owner decided to install a wireless surveillance system on the premises. He chose PTZ cameras which require suitable controls. The CAM-9 was selected to meet that demand, since it allows simultaneous handling of AV signals and camera control.

On the highest tower on the premises, which houses the surveillance centre, four Rx modules were set up: one to handle video signal reception and camera control (CAM-9 M/S Rx) and three for video signal reception only (CAM-9 S Rx). The four cameras installed on other buildings are handled by the Tx modules (CAM -9 Tx) which send AV to the Rx modules (CAM-9 S Rx) and communicate with the AV and control Rx module (CAM-9 M/S Rx) to enable camera control.

 

Operating principle of the CAM-9 system

The figure shows a system with 3 cameras:

  • 1× CAM-9 M/S kit
  • 2× CAM-9 S kit

1 - The CAM-9 M/S Rx module receives and transmits the camera data over the 869 MHz RF band,

2 - The AV signal is sent from the Tx to the Rx over the 5.8 GHz RF band,

3 - The PTZ control keyboard is connected to the CAM-9 M/S Rx module over a twisted pair cable,

4 - all Rx modules are connected to a DVR or another PAL/NTSC receiver.
