Technical questions and answers in the subject of wireless image transmission - CAM and TCO analogue systems
- connect the receiver directly to the monitor using a short coaxial cable,
- change the work channel number,
- check the power supply (connect devices to another model),
- in case when several systems are running simultaneously on the object, start only one set and check its operation,
The reason for image snowing is usually the poor quality of the radio connection. The most common causes are:
- too large distance between the transmitter and receiver (if possible, use external antennas to increase the range of the set or use another type of device designed for the given distance),
- obstacle between antennas – in this case an intermediate retransmission point should be created, bypassing the obstacle.
- check the power supply (see section 2),
- use the VR potentiometer (on the transmitter) to adjust the video signal level,
- check the impedance match of the video cables (use a terminator – 75 ohm resistor),
- the reason may be too weak video signal (a video correction amplifier should be used),
- when using UTP twisted pair cables, remember to use video transformers.

This number is the ZOOM optical zoom size indication. The X25 camera will be able to zoom in closer than the X4 camera. The larger the zoom, the better it will be in identifying faces and license plates.
Every iCAM camera …. X25 which has IR night lighting as standard and an optical zoom of 200 meters will work best in this function by providing recognition and identification from a very long distance. ICAM systems can be equipped with zoom even X50 (range 400-500m)!
Wireless remote access is a standard feature on all iCAM products. For remote viewing and control, all you need is a computer, tablet or phone with the application. It is worth investing in tablets with a fast processor to get instant access to cameras. It is also good to put an LTE router with a roof antenna in the car so that the tablet connects via local Wi-Fi and the transmission is continuous regardless of the location of the vehicle. An application that works quickly and very efficiently with Hikvision cameras is Hik-connect.
Yes. The iCAM-Power system can be controlled in this way via SMS or via the web panel. In addition, iCAM-Power has a deep StandBy mode that allows standby for many days.
Yes. The camera can record in a continuous mode or after detecting motion or an event, such as: crossing the line drawn in the image or disappearance of a specific object, intrusion, detecting a very strong sound (e.g. explosion or impact).
Yes. Compatibility depends on the camera used in the iCAM system. If we use a Hikvision camera, we recommend the same brand recorder to use 100% of its functions. The same applies to VMS from different manufacturers. If the camera model is on the list of compatibility with a given VMS, it means that iCAM with this camera will work identically.
The operating time depends on the power consumption of the IP camera itself. We recommend using cameras up to 10-25W.
The iCAM-Power operation time with the X4 PTZ camera is 3 days; with the X25 camera it is about 32-48h depending on the intensity of the camera (rotation and IR night lighting on). In order to extend the operating time, additional external batteries with the symbols iCAM-Battery and iCAM-Battery230 are used.
Cameras are equipped with fast mechanical mounting. The assembly itself consists in sliding the camera into a special mechanical socket and locking it with a padlock. Before that, we only need to attach a light mounting socket to the pole or facade. Assembly of the socket consists in tightening the steel cable ties or pins which are included in the set.
YES. It is possible to use the camera separately and the main unit separately. The camera itself can be hung in any discreet place. The cable connecting the camera itself to the main unit is a standard UTP (twisted pair) cable with PoE. A length of up to 50 meters is recommended, depending on the quality of the UTP cable and the current consumption of the IP camera itself.
The weight of the iCAM system with a standard and very light Li-Ion battery is about 11-14kg depending on the camera used. An identical system based on cheaper gel batteries would weigh at least 30kg and would be 3-4 times larger.
Yes, another RAL color and masking with foil are possible.
ICAM systems can be equipped with emergency recording buffering and retrieval of lost shots. For example, in the event of interference or interruption in communication, the system will automatically save the image locally in the camera and after restoring radio communication will immediately synchronize data in the remote recorder. With this function, we always have current recordings in the remote NVR.
