Description
PoER-24h is a hermetic converter of the PoE 802.3at / af standard to the standard of PoE24 V radio modules. Is intended for connecting an IP camera with a radio module operating in various PoE standards. PoER-24h adjusts the voltage standard and allows you to connect any 24V PoE radio module (Ubiquiti, mikrotik, CAMSAT, TPlink…) to any 48V DC power supply or PoE switch / NVR with PoE.

PoER-24h converts power lines from 48V to 24V to power the radio module with PoE24V. The module is powered by 48V DC via DC connectors or via RJ45 from a PoE switch / NVR. WARNING: PoER-24h is not an Ethernet switch (a switch), but with 48V to 24V power splitters. The LAN line is transparently passed from the “Camera” LAN port to the “Radioline” LAN port connecting both devices. If you need 3 or more LAN ports for IP cameras, use the X-CAM II Switch.

PoER-24 is compatible with all commercially available wireless transmission systems for IP cameras, which require PoE Passive 24V power supply.

Use cases

Switch (A) redirects the power from PoE48V to PoER-24h converter (B). From the converter, the 48V power is directed to the IP camera. Additionally, the converter changes the 48V voltage to 24V, and powers up the CDS-6IP eco radio unit.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR CORRECT SELECTION OF THE DEVICES:
  • 16 video bridges on one installation - it is possible to run up to 16 radio bridges side by side on 16 separate work channels
  • One video bridge transmits many images from multiple cameras, i.e. you need only two CDS-6IP eco units to handle 8 cameras with switch
  • One receiver can be paired with up to 8 transmitters and you can connect several cameras to each transmitter.
  • Transmission of 16 cameras with one radio bridge - number of cameras depends on the sum of their bitrate and on the radio distance. The CAMSAT calculator and diagrams will help you to select the devices.
